Well, I'm writing blogs now ;)
Capturing the Wild Beauty of Disney's Animal Kingdom

Photography often takes us on unexpected adventures, and my journey through Disney World's Animal Kingdom was no exception. In this blog post, I'll share the story of my unforgettable experiences amidst the beauty of this remarkable theme park, rain and all.
**A Wet and Wild Challenge:** My photographic exploration at Animal Kingdom proved to be quite the adventure, filled with unexpected challenges. On two separate visits, I embarked on a quest to capture the park's essence, only to be drenched by unexpected downpours that resembled hurricanes. While it may have been a bit frustrating, I must admit that the rain added an element of unpredictability to the shoot.
**A Silver Lining in Every Rain Cloud:** Despite the unexpected weather challenges, I managed to capture some incredible shots. The rain, though initially a hindrance, added a unique atmosphere to the photographs, emphasizing the lush greenery, vivid colors, and the park's natural beauty. It reminded me that beauty can emerge from even the most challenging circumstances.
**Dad, the Trusty Sidekick:** One of the most precious aspects of these rain-soaked visits was having my father as my photography companion. Together, we faced the unexpected storms and the humorous predicaments they brought. His unwavering support and willingness to jump into puddles to get the perfect shot created memorable moments that I will cherish forever.
**Chocolate-Covered Delights:** Amidst the rain and the camera gear, I couldn't resist indulging in one of Animal Kingdom's delightful treats – a chocolate-covered banana. It might seem a bit peculiar, but the sweet and slightly tangy taste was the perfect companion to the adventure, warming the soul even on the wettest of days.
**Hair Gel Adventures:** The rain also had a whimsical impact on my hairstyle, turning my perfectly coiffed hair into something resembling a wet mop. It was an unexpected, albeit humorous, twist that added a touch of unpredictability to the day. It was the kind of experience that reminds us not to take ourselves too seriously.
**The Towel That Became a Symbol:** As we embraced the rain, my dad and I made a dash for a gift shop to find refuge and a much-needed towel. Little did I know that this towel would become a symbol of our adventures, and it now resides in my car as the designated rainy-day companion. Every time I see it, I'm reminded of the laughter and carefree attitude that defined our time together.
**A Moment to Treasure:** More than just a photography excursion, these trips to Disney's Animal Kingdom gave me something that can never be replicated – a sense of adventure, laughter in the face of adversity, and the joy of being in the moment with someone I love. It's a reminder that life's beauty often emerges from the unexpected, and the shared moments with loved ones are truly priceless.
In my upcoming posts, I'll delve deeper into the stunning wildlife and breathtaking landscapes of Disney's Animal Kingdom, so stay tuned for more captivating stories and breathtaking images.
Here are the results (before the monsoon)
2. Magic Kingdom:
Now this trip to Magic Kingdom is actually very special for a variety of reasons because it actually was my first time shooting in front of such a big crowd! It was the perfect day and perfect lighting, I wanted to capture the Halloween feel of everything! I even laid on the ground to get a shot of Stitch, having felt the "fall" season vibes already. (which in Florida under 75 degrees is most definitely Fall!) It was a nice change of scenery compared to the 109 degree sweat mustache I got accustomed to getting for the months prior!
3. Epcot:
This shoot miss ma am was one of those relaxing just go with the flow inspiration days! It was a solo trip to get me out of my comfort level, because up to this point I had only shot pictures with someone I knew. Being by yourself and sitting by a fence trying to capture a bee on a flower is one of those things that I think until you actually do it, is such an awkward thing! At the end of the day, I was able to feel better and was able to get amazing shots!
